Shinhan Bank, Bishopsgate London
The problem: New offices often come with acoustic challenges. Open-plan floorplates, glazed partitions and contemporary hard finishes can leave meeting rooms feeling exposed and shared spaces prone to noise build-up. Shinhan Bank's new office needed to get the balance right, supporting focus and collaboration while still feeling polished and professional for client-facing work.
Our solution
Autex Groove and Autex Horizon Rafts were installed across meeting rooms to control reverberation and keep conversations clear, essential in a space built around client calls and internal discussions.
In the reception area, we installed an Autex Timber acoustic ceiling. Digitally printed to resemble natural timber, it brings warmth and a premium finish to the space while quietly absorbing noise in open, hard-surfaced areas. Positioned along the reception and hallway, the direction and placement help draw the eye and encourage a natural sense of flow from arrival through into the rest of the office.
The Outcome
The result is an office that supports Shinhan Bank’s international brand and growth ambitions, giving staff and visiting clients a space built for focus, comfort and confidence.
Meeting rooms feel private and controlled, ensuring AV calls can happen without acoustic distraction. The reception and the surrounding circulation areas strike a calmer, more considered tone, with the timber-printed ceiling adding warmth and a sense of natural flow through the space.
