Village Halls

Furneux Pelham

The problem: Built nearly a century ago, Furneux Pelham Village Hall serves as a vital space for the local community, hosting a variety of activities including social events, fitness classes, village meetings, and even housing the village post office. The hall’s high ceilings and hard surfaces created a challenging acoustic environment, resulting in poor speech intelligibility and discomfort for those using the space.

Our solution

To address these acoustic issues, Resonics installed Ecophon Solo Rectangle acoustic panels on the ceiling. These panels were selected for their superior acoustic performance and their ability to complement the hall’s historic charm. Key features include:

  • Class A Acoustic Absorption: Effectively reducing reverberation and echo.
  • Discreet Design: Panels seamlessly integrated into the architecture without detracting from its character.
  • Durability: Ensuring long-term performance in a frequently used space.
