The problem: Specialist Risk Group (SRG), one of the UK’s fastest growing insurance intermediaries, relocated to a new 40,000 sq ft single-floor office to bring teams together in one central location. The brief was to create a workplace that could support a wide range of working styles, from quiet, focused tasks to open collaboration, while maintaining acoustic comfort throughout. Achieving a balanced acoustic environment was a key priority, ensuring the space felt inclusive, calm, and productive for employees.

Our solution

Resonics partnered with TSK to deliver a tailored acoustic design and installation package that combined performance with visual impact. A range of acoustic products was used across the space to add warmth, texture and a sense of calm, while effectively managing noise levels.

Reception Area

In the reception area, Autex Frontier ceiling baffles were installed to create a welcoming first impression and set the tone for the rest of the workplace. The wave-like baffle design provides a striking visual feature while absorbing sound, improving speech clarity and minimising noise transfer into surrounding workspaces. The baffles also help conceal ceiling services, contributing to a clean and cohesive finish.

Meeting Rooms

Across meeting rooms and quiet zones, Autex Groove wall panels were installed on key walls to control sound reflections and reduce background noise. These treatments enhance speech clarity during video calls and support concentration, helping teams work more effectively in both collaborative and individual settings.

Boardroom 

In the boardroom, acoustic performance was balanced with design-led detailing. An Abstracta Sahara wall was installed to improve speech intelligibility while adding depth and visual appeal to the space. Autex Frontier baffles were also installed on the ceiling, creating an acoustically controlled environment suitable for high-level discussions, whether participants are attending in person or remotely.
