Project Description

The Problem

Resonics was contacted by St Georges University in London to provide and acoustic solution in one of its auditoriums. The project posed a number of challenges:

• Reverberation time is of particular importance in auditoriums where sound travels long distances before bouncing off walls multiple times.
• Absorbing excess reverberation greatly assists the concentration of those listening in the space.

The Solution

Using individual wrapped fabric panels, Resonics installed a unique wall to wall, floor to ceiling acoustic solution across the room.

The Result

The result met all the criteria for an learning environment. The stretched Fabric solution achieved a reverberation time below 0.5 seconds, while providing visual consistency across the rooms.
