The Problem
This modern style restaurant was hampered by a number of acoustic problems, created by hard, reflective surfaces throughout the room. Resonics’ assessment of the restaurant found that it had a reverberation time of 2.1 seconds; higher than the recommended time of 1.0 seconds for restaurant environments.
The Solution
A variety of different solutions taken from our Class A Ecophon Range were installed in a bid to create a more pleasant auditory environment. These included acoustics tiles, wall panels and hanging circular rafts. The room was given an aesthetic touch with the inclusion of four bespoke acoustic artworks.
The Result
The acoustic treatment that the restaurant received generated great results. Improved sound absorption brought the room’s reverberation time down to a perfect 0.59 seconds; meaning a much quieter, and more comfortable and peaceful environment; everything a break room should be.
