For meeting rooms to be effective they must afford good speech intelligibility and auditory privacy. This meeting room at One Fine Stay’s London headquarters was lacking both.
Plasterboard walls and wooden flooring was contributing to an uncomfortable reverberation time in the space. Resonics was called in to add absorption to the space to restore some acoustic clarity.
We installed our 50mm Fabric Wall system using a Class A acoustic core and alternating wrapped fabric. The result is a patterned feature wall with a seamed, panel effect.
The room needed to retain a whiteboard to facilitate presentations and brainstorming. We achieved this by installing a wooden support to the existing plasterboard behind the acoustic core to keep the whiteboard firmly in place.
We achieved a reverberation time of less than 1.5 seconds thanks to the Class A acoustic core.
