This hall at Edward Bryant School is used for multiple activities. As well as being used for sports, the space is used for exams, presentations and assemblies.
It was essential that the space had comfortable acoustics to facilitate the use of the hall for a range of activities. The highly metal ceiling and wooden flooring was contributing to a lengthy reverberation time and an uncomfortable acoustic environment.
We installed acoustic panelling from Ecophon along the hall’s perimeter walls.
The design incorporate services on the busy wall, including windows and AV equipment.
The panels were given an impact resistant finish using Ecophon’s Super G technology, making the panels ideal for the high-impact multi-use space.
Their Class A absorptive qualities helped reduce the reverberation time in the hall to a comfortable time of below two seconds.
