The Problem
This multi-purpose school hall in Richmond, London was being used for noisy activities such as assemblies, sport, performances and other school events. Without acoustic treatments, the noisy hall was compromising some activities taking place in the hall.
The Solution
We installed a combination of acoustic ceiling panels and wall panels to tackle the excessive reverberation in the space. The ceiling panels were installed between essential ceiling services, and the wall panels blended into the hall’s white surface finishes.
The wall panels installed are impact resistance, having the added benefit of being able handle any impact sustained during sporting activities in the hall.
The Result
An acoustic solution that restored acoustic comfort to the hall, facilitating its multi-purpose use. Feedback has been positive, with the hall’s users remarking on reduced noise in the hall.
