Resonics were contacted by the Chertsey scouts to rectify some signifcant echo issues they were experiencing in their brand new scout hall.
As we often see with village halls, high metal ceilings and many hard surfaces result in a sub-optimal acoustic environment. High reverberation times were causing discomfort for patrons, regardless of the activity at the time. High reverberation results in poor speech intelligibility and overall irritation for those using the space.
We installed a high-density of Ecophon Solo acoustic panels to the hall’s ceiling. Offering Class A acoustic absorption, the panels effectively reduced the interior noise levels and restored comfort to the hall’s users.
