Another great project completed. A £9.7m project transforming the historic Welsh School of Architecture building is on track to be completed in time for the new academic year in September.
A key feature of the Bute Building’s heritage and Grade II listed status, this new Exhibition Hall, which opened last month, will be the centrepiece of the building.
Based at Cardiff University, Resonics were trusted to acoustically treat the auditorium and assembly spaces with acoustic baffles and slatted timber panelling. Quite a unique project, and one we were excited to be a part of. We also completed acoustic treatments using Autex Frontier and Composition to circulation and breakout classroom areas through the building.
The Gustafs linear timber system, which we were able modify and customise on site to wrap around the steel balustrade and staircase adds a stunning feature to the space.
Resonics were engaged to complete the installation of all acoustic products and the results are truly stunning!
